Yes, It's a 5 foot dinosaur!

I get a text message from my sister Cathy who lives in Monticello, Indiana. She has been helping my folks move the last odds and ends from the campgrounds. Attached is this picture she sent last night with her note - "Yes, it's a 5 foot dinosaur - we have arrived neighbors!" I busted out laughing. I can only imagine what the neighbors ARE thinking! Anyone who has ever been at Thrasher's campground is familiar with the 5 foot green dinosaur but many people may not know where it originally came from. When my dad owned the Sinclair Filling Station (that's what they were called back then), there were actually two stone dinosaurs, the Tyrannosaurus shown here and the more familiar Dino Brontosaurus sitting to the side of the building. So anyone driving on U.S. 421 from Chicago to Indianapolis who would stop to fill up their tanks, would let their kids climb on them - we would climb on them as well as kids! Then one night, in either the 1960's or early '70's, someone stole the Brontosaurus, never to be found. So the other one was moved to the campgrounds and no children were allowed to play on it.
