AWESOME TRIBUTE TO MY GRANDMA

The cabin on The Big Monon has been in the family since grandma and grandpa bought it back in the early 1900's. Growing up, me and all of my sisters, my cousins, aunts, uncles, second cousins would spend time on the lake, swimming, boating, having huge picnics and who can forget once in high school, the parties we would have back at the cabin. It was a lot of summer fun! My sister Cathy and her husband Jeff bought it to keep it in the family. Grandma loved this cabin (and Cardinals) because it held so many memories of her and grandpa Morris. The fireplace inside the cabin is made of rocks and arrowheads found in grandpa's farm fields. This past month, they had a stone made in memory of grandma and placed it out by the water. It is a beautiful and fitting tribute to "the cabin". Now, all the boaters that are driving by on their way to Lake Shafer will know that this is Fern's cabin but I can just hear her saying, "I don't know why they had to put that up!" We all love and miss you grandma!
