It was a busy weekend in Indiana with three nieces graduating. Kayleigh graduated from Harrison High School, West Lafayette, Indiana on Saturday at Elliott Hall of Music, she had over 500 in her graduating class. Afterward, we met Kayleigh and a bunch of relatives at Scotty's "on the Levee" for a quick bite. Then, it was on to the big town of Wolcott for my great nephew Bradley's 6th birthday party and the surprise 40th party for Max and Cathy.
Then Sunday, Alene, Arlene and Kayleigh had a graduation party at the campground. With my parents selling the campground this year, this will be the last family party there. It was bittersweet. They are ready to retire, but relunctant to let family land go to strangers. Anyway, Alene and Arlene are graduating Friday, May 30th from North White High School in Monon, Indiana. The sad thing is, out of 45 classmates, only 20 some are graduating. The school and town have really gone down hill since I was in high school.
It was good to be home (for a few days) but I am glad to be back where I belong - in the BIG city. Too much country air makes me go crazy after a while :)
