Over the holidays, we had all of the family gathered. I brought my Wii system to my parents' house so we could have fun playing games. What was the most fun we all had? Playing spoons around the kitchen table. My cousin Elayne stopped by so it was just like old times playing spoons. We hadn't played it in years!
According to Wikipedia:
"Spoons . . . is a fast-paced game of matching and bluffing family of card games of the Crazy Eights group, closely related to Craits[2] played with an ordinary pack of playing cards and several ordinary kitchen spoons or various other objects. It is played in multiple rounds and each player's objective is to be the first in the round to havefour of a kind, or to not be the last to grab a spoon. Once one spoon is taken, everybody attempts to get the remaining spoons."
Now, in our competitive family, we have scars from our childhood from playing spoons where we have fought tooth and nail over getting a spoon and my grandma would yell at us for bending her spoons! If you haven't played it, I suggest you try it for one of your game nights - it's so simple and so much fun!
