Our Feeble Attempt to Grow Tomatoes

This is our feeble attempt to grow tomatoes on our balcony. We bought three beautiful beefsteak tomato plants. Within a month, there were hundreds of blooms on our plants and they grew very tall. We were so excited that we were going to have all these gorgeous huge tomatoes! Then, after two months of watering daily and the blooms withering and dying - we decided to give up. Little did we know that bees are a key ingredient to growing successful tomato plants. We then stopped watering and forgot all about them until one day I walked out on the balcony and this one little tomato finally formed, about the size of a cherry tomato. Note to self, when trying to grow patio tomatoes, you need to buy PATIO tomatoes. Lesson learned!
