We spent Labor Day Weekend in Ponte Vedra, south of Jacksonville, Florida. We stayed at the Sawgrass Mariott. The place was unbelievably gorgeous. My sister Laura flew down from Iowa and my sister Carol, my niece Stephanie and her husband Vito, along with their two kids, all went on the trip. We had a really good time. The weather was good for most of the trip except one afternoon when it rained but by that time, we had enough sun and it was a nice break. The highlight of the trip was Ashtan losing his shoe over the side of the deck at the restaurant in which we were eating. Fortunately the manager had a fish hook and could fish it out. The other highlight was eating at a restaurant in St. Augustine (food was awful) where you could open a little trap door by your table and feed the millions of fish (carp) swimming below. Anyone who has been to Indiana Beach knows this scene all too well.
